Songs for You is the fourth studio album by American singer Tinashe, released independently through her own label Tinashe Music Inc. on November 21, 2019. It is the first project since her departure from RCA Records in February 2019. The project features collaborations with Ms Banks, 6lack, and G-Eazy. The album has received positive reviews, with publications praising her creativity, production and songwriting, as well as for releasing music independently.

1620 The Mayflower Compact was signed by most of the adult male passengers aboard the English ship Mayflower off Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The first framework of government and written English contract in North America.

1783 In Paris, Jean Francois Pilatre de Rozier and the Marquis Francois Laurant d'Arlandes made the first free (untethered) ascent in a balloon, flying from the center of Paris to the suburbs, about 5.5 miles in 25 minutes, reaching an altitude of about 300 feet.

1934 Ritz Crackers were introduced by the National Biscuit Company, now Nabisco.

1941 'King Biscuit Time' radio show was first broadcast from Helena, Arkansas. It is the longest running daily radio program in history, broadcasting live blues music, interviews, etc. It is named for its sponsor, King Biscuit Flour.  The 'King Biscuit Flower Hour' rock and roll radio program took its name from 'King Biscuit Time'

1964 The 6-lane upper deck of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, linking Brooklyn and Staten Island, opened (The 6-lane lower deck was reserved for future use).  At 4,260 ft, it is the world’s longest suspension bridge.

1970 'I Think I Love You' by the Partridge Family is #1 on the charts.

1980 Early in the morning, the deadliest fire in Nevada’s history broke out in The Deli restaurant on the main floor of the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, taking the lives of 87 people and leaving some 650 others injured. 

1980 28,000 Canada geese spend a few nights on Silver Lake in Rochester, Minnesota.

1995 The Dow Jones industrial average closed above 5,000 for the first time, closing at 5,023.55.

2005 Zambian President Levy Mwanawasa declared a national disaster and appealed to the international community for food aid after government estimates showed that 1.2-million people face famine due to drought.
