Never Ever Give Your Dog These Things

Over time people forget or just don’t know, so its our job to make sure you know!

 

White Rice

Is easy to digest and helps bind stool, but over time it turns into sugar.

Causing blood sugar levels to rise, diabetes however, if you have no more brown rice than feed only in small amounts.

Mint

2 Leaves pre day are allowed, but nothing more or it may upset their digestive system.

MILK

Whole milk or other dairy products may contain too much fat and can lead to diarrhea and vomiting too.

SWEET/SALTY POPCORN

Plain popcorn ONLY , without salt, butter, or sugar, can be a nutritional treat for dogs.

RIPE Bananas

Due to their high sugar content, bananas should only be an occasional treat for dogs. The greener the better for the dog,

Avocados

contain a substance called persin, which is toxic to dogs and can cause vomiting and diarrhea.

Grapes & Raisins

Grapes, raisins, sultanas, and currants are all highly toxic to dogs. Even small quantities can cause kidney failure and, in some cases, death.

Cinnamon

Cause vomiting, diarrhea, and liver disease in dogs.

Alcohol

Alcohol is very dangerous for dogs and can lead to a range of serious complications, including coma and death.

Onions, garlic, and chives

Onions, garlic, and chives are all are toxic to dogs and leads to vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain.

Dough

Dough can be very dangerous, the yeast in dough can cause it to keep expanding inside the dog’s stomach.

Raw Meats

Dogs should only consume small portions of pork or other raw meats, as the high fat content is hard for dogs to digest, and it can cause inflammation and pancreatitis.

( Never feed uncooked/raw and always remove the fat. Raw meat can contain Escherichia coli and Salmonella, which are types of bacteria that can cause food poisoning in dogs and humans. Cooking the meat properly kills the bacteria.)

If you do a raw meat diets, you pose a health risks to the dogs and may not provide a complete nutritional balance.

Cherry

The pits contain cyanide, which is poisonous. They can also be a choking hazard or block the intestines if a dog swallows them.

Chocolate

Never give chocolate and if you do eat chocolate, its safer to keep dark sugar free chocolate for your health and their health / have a better chance at surviving them if they get ahold of it some how?

( Remember its all about the amount that consume, that can result in death)

Coffee

Never give coffee, or the dog heart will explode.

Coconut Water

Dogs should not drink coconut water, due to its high levels of potassium. Coconut oil can cause upset stomach or diarrhea.

Nuts

Nuts are poisonous to dogs and can cause muscle weakness, vomiting, lethargy, hyperthermia and to choke.

Salt

Too much salt can cause excessive thirst and urination in dogs, as well as sodium ion poisoning.

Symptoms of this poisoning can include:

  • vomiting

  • diarrhea

  • involuntary shaking, or tremors

  • high temperature

  • seizures

Cheap Peanut BUtter

Only unsalted, organic peanut butter with no added sugar or sweeteners is safe for dogs to eat in moderation.
